
Hi, I’m Morgan, the recipe developer and photographer behind Notably Vegan. What started as a need for better vegan and gluten-free food evolved into a focus on simple, flavor-forward recipes that are satisfying and easy to make.
I’m not a trained chef. I have a master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis and spent years in special education before landing here. When gluten had to go, I wasn’t willing to accept that my food had to become a dread. So I spent years testing and refining recipes until creating my own became second nature.
My favorite restaurant? My kitchen.
How I cook
I am a perfectionist behind the scenes. Every recipe goes through multiple rounds of testing. Some come together with just a few rounds, and others have me questioning my sanity and ordering takeout.
I test not only for delicious flavor and texture, but also for ease. Streamlined ingredients, simple steps, and realistic prep times are non-negotiable.
My S/O is the king of taste testing and comes with zero bias - he's neither vegan nor gluten-free. If he's not sneaking back for thirds, it doesn't make it to the blog.
Outside the kitchen
When I’m not testing out new recipes or behind the camera, you can usually find me:
- Sweating through a morning workout: tread, Peloton rides, pilates, barre, or strength training
- Dreaming up my next home project: there is always something being redone or reorganized in our home.
- Binge watching a series that becomes my whole personality: true crime docs, Bravo, home reno, cooking competition shows - my watchlist is all over the place, and I have zero shame.
- Browsing for the good stuff: non-toxic, sustainable, and women-owned gems for my home, kitchen, and closet.
