I created Notably Vegan because I wanted a space where downright delicious recipes could live without all the perfectionism and judgment. Whether you're a long-time vegan, gluten-free by necessity, or just want to add more plant-based goodness to your life, I want Notably Vegan to be a place where you feel comfortable (and well fed).

I didn’t exactly start as a pro in the kitchen. Most of what I know comes from a solid decade of trial and error. When my body decided it was done with gluten, I made it my mission to create recipes that didn’t feel like I was catering to a specialized diet. Not to toot my own horn, but I feel like I’ve finally mastered the art of making plants and gluten-free alternatives taste like something you’d choose even if you didn't have to. Here you'll find bold, fun flavor combinations and crave-worthy textures all made with simple, wholesome ingredients.
Tested to perfection
While I want this to be a judgment-free space for you, I am an (obsessive) perfectionist behind the scenes. I test every dish countless times to nail the flavor, cut down the ingredient list as much as possible, and streamline the steps. I'll do the overthinking for you, so you can focus on what matters most.
My husband has nicknamed me the Dr. Dre of the kitchen because I refuse to "drop the track" until it’s absolutely perfect. Fun fact: he isn't vegan or gluten-free, which makes him the best taste-tester (no bias!). If a dish doesn’t win him over (which is usually measured by a lot of 'omg's or him sneaking back for thirds), you won't see it here until it does.
Beyond the kitchen
My background may not be in culinary arts, but that perspective is exactly what makes my recipes different. I have my Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis and spent years in special education. I love breaking complex tasks into clear, doable, no-fuss steps, and I hope this shines through in each recipe you make.
When I’m not testing out new recipes or behind the camera, you can usually find me:
- On the move: Nothing humbles me more than a Peloton ride 😅. When I’m not being bullied by the bike, I love Pilates, barre, hiking, or strength training.
- Sun-seeking: I was born and raised in Southern Maine, so I’m an East Coast girl at heart. 🦞⛵ Boston has been home for the past several years, and while New England is the GOAT (especially at the beach in the summer), holy moly, the winters are long. Even my homebody self eventually has to flee the snow to chase the warmth and Vitamin D.
- Over-caffeinating: Homemade hot black organic coffee 90% of the time, with a mix of a hot americano or a maple cinnamon latte thrown in for good measure.
- Curating and styling: Analysis and research run deep in my veins. I love a good find and am constantly on the hunt for beautiful, functional pieces for my home, closet, and kitchen. Bonus points for non-toxic & sustainable goods. 💗
- Binge-watching: Documentaries, psychological thrillers, or murder mysteries. Reality TV (hi, Bravo) is my guilty pleasure.
