A smoothie that truly tastes like a snickerdoodle cookie! This snickerdoodle protein smoothie is made with 8 ingredients and comes together in just a few minutes. It's also vegan & gluten-free!
This smoothie was created due to my current obsession with cinnamon. I love cinnamon year-round, but my cravings for it increase as we approach colder weather and the holiday season. Wrap me in a chunky sweater (or 3) and all the cozy winter flavors, please.
If you also have a current cinnamon addiction, let's celebrate it! Why? I'm so glad you asked. Not only do we have an incredibly delicious snickerdoodle smoothie to make (featuring cinnamon as a key ingredient) but cinnamon is also kind of a superfood.
Fun facts about cinnamon;
- Contains antioxidant and inflammatory properties
- Packed with potassium, magnesium, calcium, & phosphorus
- Medicinal properties (antibacterial, anti-fungal, etc.)
Now let's get to the deliciousness.

- KOS organic vanilla protein powder

- SunWarrior collagen building protein with hyaluraonic acid
- Plant Fusion complete protein
What else can I put in a smoothie for protein?
There are many vegan ingredients that can be added to smoothies for additional protein! Here are some of my favorites;
- Hemp seeds
- Chia seeds
- Flaxseed meal
- Cashews (or other nut of choice)
- Nut butters
- Cacao powder
- High protein plant-based milk like soy or flax
- Vegan yogurt (each brand varies, so be sure to check the label)
- Kite Hill Greek Yogurt: 17 grams per serving
- Siggi's plant-based coconut blend: 10 grams per serving
Substitutions
Banana: ½ of a ripe banana is added for a bit of sweetness and additional creaminess. I haven't tried making the smoothie without it, however ¼ cup of vanilla yogurt should also work! Alternatively, try adding additional cauliflower or ½ of a pear instead. If you try any of the alternatives, let me know how it goes in the comments below!
Frozen cauliflower: added for additional nutrients as well as making the smoothie smooth and creamy. It's tasteless, so don't substitute it!
Dates: omit or swap for a tablespoon of maple syrup if desired.
Vanilla granola butter: I love using granola butter instead of a nut butter as it helps the smoothie truly taste like a snickerdoodle cookie. Alternatively use cashew butter, peanut butter, or almond butter. These will change the flavor of the smoothie slightly, but it will still be delicious!
Variations
Smoothie bowl: use ½ a cup of milk instead of 1 cup and top with sliced banana, strawberries, granola, coconut shreds, and/or whatever else your heart desires.
Dessert style smoothie: add a few tablespoons of vegan whipped cream to the top (or layer it throughout).
Can I store it in the fridge?
I do not recommend storing this snickerdoodle smoothie in the fridge for more than an hour or so. The protein and banana will thicken the smoothie as it sits and the flavor will alter. It's best enjoyed right out of the blender!
